New School - Colonia Nuci

Hello everyone

After vacation and activities in Village Museum, some of our volunteers started working in a new school, situated in the village Colonia Nuci.

This a school 10km from Ramnicu Valcea. And here we can really feel the difference in education conditions and motivation from the children. We believe that here we can make something different than in the city.

The children here came from difficult situations and our objective is to teach them that they can chose their own path in life and separate from the stigmas created by past generations.

Article - European Union Day

Hello everyone

Once again our activities were news in the media. This time referring to the European Union day, celebrated on 9th of May.

For us volunteers this was an important day since it's thanks to the EU that we can participate in this type of project, and share our experiences with the community.

European Union Day

Hello everyone!

Hope you all have been good!

In 9th of May we all celebrated a special day to us volunteers. It was the European Union Day.
To many of you it may mean nothing. And we are sure that a lot of people still ask what is the European Union. Why are we a part of it? And what did it do for our country?

These are all very hard questions to understand and answer. We are not going to write about politics.

What we all wanted to celebrate was the Union. All the volunteers come from different parts of the world. A lot of those countries are not part of the European Union. But still they are here participating in the same projects. We are all United in the same place and with the same beliefs.

WE DON'T NEED BORDERS! TOGETHER WE STAND TALL! BUILDING EUROPE TOGETHER!

Being a special day, we decided that we had to do something. Like the good democratic countries we come from we decided to have a vote. With this we agreed that we would make a flash mob.

The preparations went very well. As you can see we are all committed into making something nice.

We were very happy that the community also participated!

We had a very nice experience in this day. We noticed that people were curious about what we were doing. And some even told us what were their thought on EU.

In this activity we joined forces with the volunteers from the Green Life Project.

We all hope to have created some dialog about this day and what means to part of a community, and also of something bigger than all of us. Which is the utopia of a world with no borders.

Seara Romaneasca part 2

Hello everyone

Hope you all have been good.

After our wild vacations and all the forum theater training, it was time to relax a little bit. In order to do that our Romanian friends organized for us yet another Romanian night.

It was a really great night again. Thank you all so much for your effort in showing us your culture and tradition.

We had a lot of food and fun trying all the different dishes prepared for us. As you can see in the next pictures.

As you can see we had a fullll table!!!

It was a double special night because it was also our Martyna's Birthday!

Bujoreni Village Museum

Hello Everyone

Hope you have been well!!

As you already know we spend one very nice afternoon in this museum helping with the cleaning.

This month will be special for them because they will be having activities with the children from the community.

During this time they will have workshops with wood, food like bread, and pottery.

Latter in the month our project volunteers will also participate in their activities.

This is a open air museum, that has typical Romanian houses from different periods of time. Some of the houses are already 200 years old. 

You can see in the pictures that is a really nice place to visit and make a picnic.

Bujoreni Village Museum - cleaning day

Hello Everyone

On the 7th of May we had a special activity.

We got together with the Green Life project volunteers and we all went to the Bojureni Village Museum.

The Museum was going to have a special week so they asked us for help in order to clean the houses and the gardens.

It was a very different day, but very funny. We could see all this typical houses from the inside and imagine how it was to live in this place.

Thanks to the Museum staff for inviting us. We had a great time.
